“Phygital” is the adjective that captures the latest edition of the Milan Fashion Week.
MFW20, held from 22 to 28 September, went online in response to the changes affecting the entire planet due to the Covid-19 emergency. Traditional, live, catwalk shows took turns with provocative online ones, giving the events both a physical and digital (‘Phygital’) side
This approach made it possible to offer guests an entirely inclusive experience while protecting the health of employees taking part in the activities.
For the occasion, Baldinini presented highlights from their Spring/Summer 2021 Collection at its Via Bigli Showroom. The “Baldinini ICONS” event took place there, in the heart of Milan’s Fashion “Quad d’Oro”. This event ideally bridged Baldinini’s stylistic past and future, particularly focusing on revisiting its iconic footwear.
There was a photo image trail capturing the brand’s most iconic campaigns since the late 1980s, as well as some spots on materials and workmanship. These covered the redeployment of the brand’s unique laser technique and the introduction of innovative, nap-effect denim. Rhinestones, natural stones, pump buckles, sabots, sandals, summer boots and sneakers were set off against iconic models from the past revisited with a new twist.
